Hi,
One end of the swivel mount inserts into a No. 241 Scotty deck mount.
I don't use mine to mount a fishfinder in my kayak. I attached a small board on one end using bolts provided. Then I bought another No. 241 deck mount and attached it to the board. Then I mount a Scotty rod holder to that. I then insert this entire 'thing' into a No. 241 I have installed on the kayak. This gives me enough room for a compass, rod holder and other stuff at my reach.

Mark, it is designed to bolt onto a Scotty Deck Mount, like Item # 4331. It's possible that you might be able to adapt Item # 4338 for your purpose, say attaching it to a cross thwart. Give us a call, 800.635.5202, if we can help in any way.Answered on 4/22/2013 by Clyde from NRS
