Comments about NRS Big Sky 123 Quart Cooler:

Gasket and plugs....no problem. If there were problems with this cooler, they have been fixed. I love it and am REALLY happy it fits right into my frame where the old Igloo lived for years.

Comments about NRS Big Sky 123 Quart Cooler:

NRS was out of stock so I bought one of these coolers from Cascade. The dimensions are a pretty close match to a 123 qt Rubbermaid Gott which I was replacing. I didn't bother to read the first (only) review before I made the purchase, which was a big mistake. The first review is accurate: The insulation plugs were not installed correctly and the gasket was cut and not welded. The rope used for the handles is low quality and frayed. On the plus side, the cooler body is well made and both the hinges and latches look to be high quality. I called NRS and they said they would send me a new gasket when they are available so I decided to keep the cooler (it would cost a bundle to ship to back to Cascade). I reinstalled the insulation plugs with aquaseal and used some black silicone RTV to fill the cut in the gasket. However, one shouldn't have to make repairs to a [$] cooler before its first trip. Like the first reviewer, if I could do this over, I would buy a Yeti, Engel, or Canyon.

Comments about NRS Big Sky 123 Quart Cooler:

I should have waited a year or two before getting a cooler from nrs. If you look at any old engel, or yeti, or canyon cooler the gasket is at least welded together, this one looks like a 5 year old cut it with a dull knife, and then put it in with out even trying to do a nice job! At least the other aforementioned companys make an attempt at keeping water out in a flip, this one has no chance. The plugs where they put the insulation in fall out easy, and even if they dont they arent caulked so water will be getting into the body of your cooler, be sure of that. A few things need tweaked to be a 460 dollar cooler. Its just not there yet. I bet next years will be killer. Great ice retention, nrs will have the market with this cooler if they fix the aforementioned. NRS says "Frustrated with the difficulty of finding high-quality coolers for boating" Yes i was, and yes i still am! Wish i woulda bought a yeti at sportsmans warehouse, went with NRS based on customer service!

K-dog, some people have no use for the dividers, so selling them separately lets folks chose what works best for them.

We list the shipping surcharge on oversize items in the drop down block on the Add to Cart section. The surcharge for this cooler is $30.00.
