Comments about Kavu Synthetic Sol Shade: I love the wood-grain print on this fabric and couldn't resist purchasing this hat! I got it recently for a kayaking trip but ended up not wearing it while paddling because we wore helmets - oops, forgot about that. I have worn it hiking in some very windy conditions, though, and it never blew off my head thanks to the adjustable chin strap. the brim is a little floppy, but not bad. It has definitely worked to keep the sun off my face, ears and neck. I also like that it is very packable. It fits me very well, and while I have no complaints about the fit, I would like to say that I have a small head, and I don't think this hat would fit someone with a large or maybe even medium hat size despite the fact that it is advertised as a one size fits all hat.

Cons
Best Uses Comments about Kavu Synthetic Sol Shade: Got the hat to protect from sun and rain. I am bald with a fair complexion. The hat packs nicely. The problem is the droopy brim. I have only used it in the sun but it hangs down around the face and ears. I guess that provides a form of protection but not what you would call airy. Have not worn it in the rain yet but I expect the lack of brim rigidity will get me a wet neck.
