I challenge the standard advice that the length of an SUP paddle should be about 10 inches longer than the paddler's height. For me, 15 - 18 inches feels a lot better. I advise potential SUP buyers to try several lengths before buying a paddle and to buy an adjustable length paddle.

Hi, the surcharge is for shipping an oversize item. When an item exceeds 60", the shipping company charges an additional fee. You'll notice that the three-piece SUP paddles do not incur the surcharge.Answered on 4/16/2013 by Clyde from NRS
