The Werner Kalliste's performance core blades have an exceptionally light and buoyant feel on the water and offer silky smooth strokes. The mid-size design is perfect for average-size low-angle paddlers.
  • Performance Core carbon fiber blades are light, buoyant and exceptionally durable.

  • Curved dihedral blade face reduces "flutter" and enhances maneuverability, helping you smoothly link strokes.

  • The oval-shaped carbon fiber shaft provides a comfortable, secure grip with a light swing weight.

  • Werner's exclusive Smart-View™ adjustable ferrule gives you a convenient two-piece paddle that looks and feels like a one-piece.

  • The Smart-View system lets you quickly and easily adjust the offset, or feather angle, of your paddle in 15 degree increments with right- or left-hand control.

Small shaft option is available. To know if you need a small diameter shaft, measure your hand from the base of the palm to the tip of your middle finger. If your measurement is 6 1/4" or smaller you should try a small shaft. You can also print the "Shaft Diameter Print Out" in the Links section and use it to measure your hand.

Comments about Werner Kalliste Carbon Paddle:

I fish the lakes and rivers of western Pennsylvania from a kayak. I've had a couple paddles and decided to take a chance on this one. I have always carried a short wooden paddle to use with one hand when needed to adjust orientation or when the other hand was busy. This paddle is so light that I can work it with one hand. I do a lot of trolling and can paddle all day with this one. It is everything that it's cracked up to be, albeit a bit pricey.

      Q:

We are interested in the Werner Kalliste paddle. However, for my wife who has smaller hands, we may or may not want the smaller shaft. Regardless of any chart, it's really going to come down to her personal comfort. Would there be any problem returning the paddle if the size did not fit her well?

        A:

Patrick, the shaft diameter definitely is a comfort factor. The right size lets you keep a light grip, that reduces hand fatigue. Our returns policy is flawless; if it doesn't work for her, send it back.

Can you get me a Werner Kalliste in the 260 length. It is listed on the company page, but not on yours.
