Fit the manufacturers holes perfectly on my 2010 Ultimate 14.5. So much better then factory. The nuts are low profile and go beanth the moving aluminum rail. These move smoothly and quietly. Great for stalking red fish.

The stock touring system was pathetic, within a few trips they began to bind and warp in the hull. After removing the old and installing this brand my kayak felt new and smooth again. I'm an avid river runner all year and these footbraces have yet to fail in any way,,,love'em and so will you.

I have a gas pedal type system in my kayak and I'm not thrilled. With respect to these footbraces, where do you attach the cables? I can't see any holes. Hello !
I will try to answer the question about how I made a functional use of the
footbrases.
First I use a drill to make a hole In both ends of the aluminium rail for
the tap set.
Than I use the tap set for making the spiral groove for the screw and
fastened the straps to the rail. ( See pictures )
Use short screws.
I use the strap to connect the rudderwire in the rear end, and a strap in
front to connect the bungee cord to the bulkhead and than the footbraces
will return to neutral position.
I have used this kayak for nearly four years now with no troubles.
I hope you understand what I explained in the text and the pictures.

Yes, I can. The cables attach to a hole that is drilled in the end of the metal u channel. You do not install bungees - kayak foot pedals of this type are not self centering (you would not want them to be). the pressure of your two feet, one on each pedal, allows you to return the rudder to neutral or to keep it offset to handle weathercocking in wind.Answered on 9/11/2012 by Anonymous
