Comments about Werner Powerhouse Paddle 30°:

I'll start by saying the 30º paddle is a replacement for the 45º powerhouse that I broke. I'm not sure why it broke (I flipped with 2 blades and rolled up with one, without noticing anything unusual), but I've got no reason to blame Werner. I use it a a walking stick while scouting, as well as a paddle, and I'm sure the shaft had been banged against any number of rocks. I was perfectly happy with the original, and I'm perfectly happy with the new one. I've got no preference for a bent shaft or carbon blades, so the straight shaft and fiberglass blades are a good choice in the middle of the price range. This is definitely a nice step up from the entry level Werners or anything aquabound makes.
